Mr. Beautiful (Up in the Air #4) by R. K. Lilley
“I’m team happily ever after, love. And as impossible as it seems now, those two won’t be happy with anyone but each other.”
Well, this is awkward. I didn’t love an RK Lilley book.
Basically I completely agree with everything Jasmine had to say in her review <—— you can read it here.
This book was all over the place. I was very happy about getting the POV from James, Stephan and Tristan, but the book jumped around so much I got confused. Especially the point in time from which the review was being told from. I honestly think this book would have been much better and less confusing if it was done in 3 segments, in chronological order. One for each of the men.
Stephan’s story was beautiful, I was so glad that as a reader we got a more in depth history to his relationship with Javier. In the original trilogy it had felt like their strong relationship had come out of left field and this book does a great job at building a good history behind them.
Overall, while I enjoyed this book I don’t feel as if it is super necessary to read. Yes it introduces new storylines, but in my personal opinion it didn’t really expand upon the characters or give much insight, other than Stephan’s story. And I felt the bodyguard plot was unnecessary, I didn’t care for it.
I’m sorry RK! I still love your other books!!
And $6.99 was waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyy too much to charge on this one. I rarely spend this much on e-books but I thought it would be worth it. (It wasn’t).
